Johnsons Skin Perfecting Oil For Stretch Marks | Week Four | Final Review

I'm sorry its late, again. Iv feel like i haven't really been into blogging lately or that iv not had much to say about anything.
However, this is my final post on this product.
So, i have used this Oil for the past 4 weeks. I believe it is a nice product to use, not too oily that it just sits on your skin all day/night and doesn't have an over powering scent.

The results however are pretty minimal. The bottle and website says it makes visible changes in just 4 week. From looking in a mirror i cannot see any changes anymore. I don't know if this is the angle I'm looking at them from or it really just hasn't made much of a difference. As i said in a previous post, the smaller much lighter marks have become even more lighter, so it may have made a change. On the other hand though i have been on a diet, so it could also be the fact I'm loosing weight. To find that out i will have to give up on either dieting or using the oil. Something I'm not willing to do in case it is a mixture of them both, that and i want to loose weight for the summer and so i am in much better health. I'm rambling.

I haven't had chance to look at the images i took. I believe there are 5 in total. I have lost my memory card reader AND my connection lead for my digital camera. Not good, i know. So as soon as i find either one of those i will be looking at them to see if there is any change. Fingers crossed there will be as i have had a lot of faith in this product.

EDIT: 11/04/12 - I have just uploaded the images of my stretch  marks onto  my laptop and looked at them carefully. I can honestly see absolutely NO change in them. I now feel really let down by this product and do not see the need to carry on using it. Johnson's promises visible results after just 4 weeks. Well, Johnson's, i have been using this for 5 weeks, so where are my visible results.
Looks like its jeans and leggings in the summer for me :(

Johnsons Skin Perfecting Oil for Stretch Marks | First Impression

So, this is going to be a little series on the NEW Johnson's Skin Perfecting Oil for Stretch Marks.
It is a new product in the Johnson's Beauty range that promises visible results after just 4 weeks.
I am going to put this to the test.

If you have read my previous post you will know iv been searching for this product since i found out it was released (around a week ago). It has been sold out in most stores but i eventually found it in Leeds City Centre Boots priced at £9.99 for 100ml.
I 'suffer' from stretch  marks and have done since i hit puberty. They first arrived on my hips and thighs around the age of 12. They never bothered me that much but over the years as iv been dieting and my weight constantly changing they have appeared more and more around my hips and thighs. Even then, they still never bothered me that much. Until July 2010.... That's when the struck!! I fell pregnant November 2009 and was due with my little girl in September 2010. My stomach was fine until July. A couple appeared and that's when i started slapping on the coco butter, but unfortunately it was too late to prevent them. Like most pregnant women i gained weight, around 2st (if that) and my legs suffered the most and i had bright shocking purple stretch marks from my hips to my ankles. The ones of my calf's are now tiny and silver, hardly visible. Its the ones around my knees i HATE!! These are the ones that get me down in the summer because i cant walk around in skirts, dresses or shorts with out having tights or leggings on.
So this is my challenge. This summer i AM going to feel confident with my legs out. I'm going on a family Holiday and i am determined to feel confident around the pool with my daughter.

Product First Impressions
With this product being an oil i expected it to be very greasy and to just sit on my skin, very much like i found Johnson's Baby Oil and Bio  Oil to be like. However, to me, its not. Its consistency is an oil. When i first pour (the 150ml bottle is a spray, 100ml bottle just has a pour cap) a few drops onto my hand it feels oily and once i rub it into the back of my legs it feels a little thicker, something along the lines of a gel. As it says on the bottle, i rub in circular motions in the area i am tackling. Once rubbed in it my skin feels so soft. This product doesn't just sit on your skin, it soaks in like a lotion. Which i love because then i can just get dressed and get on with my day, i don't have to sit in my underwear for an hour until it dries.
So far, i am loving this product. I apply it to the areas i need and any excess i have on my hands i apply to the rest of my body. A little goes a long way so i think this bottle will last at least 4 weeks, hopefully longer.

My skin is so soft after just 3 days. I purchased and started using this product on Thursday and apply it twice a day. If it can improve the softness as dramatically as it has in 3 days, i am feeling confident about it reducing my stretchmarks in 4 weeks.

I have taken a photo of what the back of my legs looked like on the first day and i will continue to take a photo each week. If i am feeling confident enough, i will post them on the final day of the challenge which will be March 29th. Each week i will post a short update on how I'm feeling about the product.

Disclaimer: I purchased this product with MY own money. I am not being paid to write this review.

Im Baaaack!

Finally. Im back in the mood for blogging.
It has been a pretty tough few weeks for me, i wont go into too much detail
Firstly my mum, who has a serious illness, has been in hospital. Thankfully it was nothing too serious in the end and is now back out and on the mend.
Over the weekend it was the anniversary of my grandads death, i always find this a really tough time, even 11 years on.
I have been feeling pretty ill over the weekend. I think its a combination of my Asthma and the crazy changes in the weather. One minute its really nice and sunny, on Thursday it was so warm. I thought summer had arrived early, but yesterday it was snowing again. Strange huh?

So today im feeling a little fragile and nursing a sore thoat and a snuffily toddler.
Now that she is happily napping away i thought id get out the laptop and catch up with the blogging.

I am back on my intense diet as of this morning. Im in 2 minds wether to get back on the soup diet or just have small protions and eat with everyone else.
On the soup diet i lost some weight, but not as much as id liked. It does get pretty boring too.
Im going to aim to do around 200 sit ups a day for a week, and then up it too 250, then 300 and so on untill im happy with the amount im doing and then maintain a steady number. At the moment i can do around 200 with out my stomach acheing like crazy. (FYI i dont do them all at once, i do 100 in the morning and 100 in the evening. It works for me) Im also going to be taking Amy out for walks now that the weather is looking much nicer. I have found a new little duck pond just a nice walk away from me so will be taking Amy there.

As some of you may know i am coated in stretch marks. Some from my pregnancy and some from weight gain and weight loss. Lately, they have been getting me down so much and i am feeling very self consious, my confidence is rock bottom. I was tempted to speak to my doctor about them but i cant deal with the embarrasment of showing him. The only people who have seen them are Paul and my sister. The only people i can honsestly trust not to laugh at me.
I have been doing some research on a new Johnsons Skin Perfecting Oil for Stretch Marks. It retails between £9.99 and £14.99. I have tried Bio-Oil and Palmers Stretch Mark Cream and found it made my skin red and itchy, i think i may have been allergic. So i am willing to try this product. It advertises that you can see visible results in just 4 weeks. I will do anything to see visible results in 4 weeks. I will be doing a weekly post on this if i ever find the damn product.

I also have a few reviews for you and will be doing some OOTDs
:)
