Jack Wills Nail Varnish | Orchid

This is most definitely a love hate product.
I absolutely adore the colour and shine when it has dried, but oh my it takes forever to dry.

I decided to use a base coat with this, for some reason i thought it might stain my nails. It took around 5 minutes to dry, with me sticking my hands in water for an extra 2 minutes. Even now, 30 minutes later i am still smudging it. Any tips on how to get this to not smudge?

So aside from the drying issues, i love it. The colour is great. A gorgeous shade of purple. Once it has dried (to some extent) it is very glossy and shiny. I have worn this before today and it does last a good few days before chipping off. The price, £6.50 is a bit steep considering my fave Boots 17 Varnishes range from £2.99 to £3.99 and i believe are much better, but what do you expect for a jack wills product?

You can purchase them here or at your local Jack Wills Store.

Overall, i dont hate them, i quite like them. I do have my eye on Sage and BlueBell though.

Wish list #1 | Boohoo.com

I absolutely adore Boohoo.com. It is always up to date fashion at affordable prices and amazing looking clothing. I have purchased several items from here before. All of them being dresses come to think of it.
This is my current wish list.

If money was no issue, i would own everything on this page and no doubt more. Sadly, bills come first. Boooooo.
Anyway, i have just realised i have absolutely no specific style. I like what i like and i wear what i want.
I have only recently fell into the sheer shirt trend and i am definitely a fan now. Although, they cant be too wild and they most definitely have to have long selves. I have been lusting after a thick 'boyfriend' style cardigan for a long time now and i havent actually found one that i like. I do love this one though. Its plain and simple. I want to be able to just chuck it on with that effortless look but look great at the same time. Thick cardy, simple top, skinny jeans and some flats or converse on a lazy day. Yes.
In the summer, i absolutely love dresses. I hate being far too hot and feeling sweaty. In what summer we get, you will usually find me in a cute dress with a cardy over the top as i 100& hate my arms so must have them covered up. (unless i just cant possibly handle the heat or feeling very, very brave).

Benefit Lipstick | Review

"benefit love your look full-finish lipsticks are the ultimate vacation colours... glide them on for a dreamy look day or night!"

As you all know, I'm not one for experimenting with lipsticks. I tend to stick to 3 out of around 14 lipsticks i own. 17's Beehive, Rimmel's Vintage Pink and MUA's Number 7.

Last month i attended Benefits Fine One One Event. (which I'm yet to blog about, keep your eyes peeled for it). I couldn't not leave empty handed so i picked up one of their Full Finish Lipsticks in the shade Do Tell.
It is slightly pinker than the Rimmel Vintage Pink one, however it is much more purple than pink, and a lot more glossy. It is really moisturising and looks great on. It is so soft to apply and really pigmented which is great. I love the fact that i feel comfortable wearing this with anything.
I am a little disappointed in the lasting time though. On myself, id say it lasts around 3 - 4 hours on a general day.

This is my first benefit product, bar samples, and i am slightly not impressed. Only slightly mind. Only because i thought it would last much longer than it did.  However, i do love the product and the packaging looks great. If i am feeling dangerous i may pick up a few more that i have my eye on. I don't mind applying lippy a few times a day ;)

MAC Lipstick | Bombshell

I have been lusting after this for ages and i finally got it, thanks to my lovely Fiancé.

This is a gorgeous shade of pink with a gold shimmer to it. It is from the Frost range.
I would recommend moisturising your lips before hand as it does tend to enhance chapped lips. It doesn't dry out your lips once it is applied though as it has a gorgeous, creamy texture to it.

I cannot wait to wear this in the summer, i think if the light hits it right it will bring out the gold shimmer in it. It is a really wearable shade with it being a medium pink. I'm not that daring with my lipsticks but this is one of my faves now.

You can purchase this from MAC for £14.00

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil.

"A precious blend of 6 flower extracts with nourishing properties for luminous colour and sumptuous softness"
L'Oreal Elvive NEW Extraordinary Oil.

This is a product I was a bit sceptical about. Only because I have tried out a hair oil before promising the world when actually, it did nothing hit make my hair feel greasy.
I didn't actually purchase this product, my mum did. Every time I stayed over and had a shower I always put a bit in as I thought it gave a great shine and smelt really nice. As my mum didn't really use it, hair products really aren't her thing, she decided to give me it.

After a few weeks of applying this after the shower I am in love. It smells great, it is actually weightless. Once applied I cannot feel the product on my hair just super soft shiny hair. This product (or at least on the packaging) doesn't promise that it repairs split ends, thickens, promotes growth and all the rest you see, so you cannot not like this product in my opinion. Unless you don't like the smell. Even though it doesn't say anything about perfecting split ends, i do feel it helps keep them a bit tidier and less frizzy looking. My hair is in desperate need of a good chop. I'm just a wuss and not a fan of hairdressers.

You can purchase this product from Boots at £8.49 for 100ml (9/02/13)

Amy Haul.

I love buying Amy new clothes and will always jump at the chance of a bargain.

Tk maxx
Both the long sleeved pink t-shirt and the comic relief t-shirt are designed by Stella Mcartney. What a bargain, both for under £6. We just had to buy the Beatles t-shirt to add to her little collection. I think this is her 4th Beatles t-shirt. Her daddy is a huge fan. Plus, i think Comic Relief is such a great organisation.

Stella Mcartney T-shirt - 5.99, Comic Relief T-shirt - £5.99, Roxy Hoodie - £4.99

Primark
Primark have most of their spring wear out now. As much as i love seeing all the nice clothing, i do think it is a little too early as i am looking for a new coat and all there is, is blazers or jackets. I want to be warm and dry thanks. Anyway, i picked this little outfit up for Amy as she is going to a birthday party on Sunday. I didn't want to buy her a dress as its a wacky warehouse and she needs to be able to run around without tripping. I couldn't not leave without these socks. I want some for myself.

Socks - £2.00, Pumps - £2.50, Leggings - £2.00, Shirt - £6.00

25 Facts About Me.

I am always interested in these little posts and stole this idea from Louise.  Sorry if some of them are a little tedious. This post has taken me a while to do. I'm trying to think of slightly unusual things. The hard bit is that I'm not very unusual.

1. I have a 2inch scar on my right wrist from falling in a pond when i was 11.

2. I managed to break the smallest bone in my wrist on a blade of grass. True story.

3. I have a 2yr old daughter who had 4 due dates.

4. I'm 5ft 1 1/2 and i have been since i was 13.

5. I have to sleep the closest away from the door, so i die last. Logic.

6. I have a fear or:
> Wasps
>Running water
> Bridges
>Heights
>Being alone
>Being alone in the dark.
>Failing as a parent
  Not many then.

7. I hardly ever wear matching socks. Except for work. I save all the matching pairs for work.

8. I love my job. I'm a care assistant.

9. I'm addicted to Hollyoaks.

10. and Lipstick, although if you look in my drawer they are all the same colour.

11. I have an overbite, and hate it.

12. I also had braces which didn't do a single thing.

13. I worry what people think about me, as a person and a parent.

14. I wish i was closer to my family.

15. I HATE Massages.

23. I have a tattoo on my foot and currently want 4 more.

24. I cannot spell for shit. I want to shake the hand of the person who invented spellcheck.

25. I can be very clingy.

I hope this helped you learn a little more about me and didn't scare you off.

Jack Wills Gift Haul.

Firstly, please excuse the appearance of this post. If it looks a little rubbish its because I'm trying something new. If it doesn't work well I won't do I again :)

So, last week the fiance ventured off to Glasgow, Amy stayed at her grandparents and I had a girly night in with Sam. The fella returned with some goodies for me :) I thought I'd show you what he got. I love them all!

He got my a cropped sleeved jumper. I love this. It is so comfy and easy to wear. It isn't too obvious it's Jack Wills like the hoodies as it has a simple little logo on the pocket.

A nail varnish in Orchid. It is a beautiful purple colour. Once 2 coats are applied it gives you a gorgeous shiny finish. I will do a more detailed review on it sometime.

As tradition, for some reason when Paul goes to Scotland he brings me back some socks. These are so pretty :)

Treacle Moon | Warm Cinnamon Nights Bath & Shower Gel.

"She watched the ice flowers in the window pane fade... her eyes slowly closed in the cinnamon scented bubbles and the soft darkness told stories to the laughing moon"

Sorry the image isn't the greatest.

I'm actually stuck for words to write about on this product without repeating my self.
Treacle Moon are an online cosmetic company with great products at really affordable prices. I have tried a couple other products of theirs and loved them so when i was asked to review this little beauty i jumped at the chance.

Cinnamon, is my favourite scent. It contains the scents of warming cinnamon, spicy clove, syrup ginger, vanilla, a drizzle of sweet hones, zesty orange and a hint of comforting stewed applePerfect for winter nights. I do love a good shower gel, i usually try and find one with a nice scent, that isn't too over powering but will leave a slight scent on my skin. This one is far too perfect as it also doesn't dry my skin out, which i have found a lot of products do.

I cannot praise this product enough. As this was a PR sample it isn't available on the website, however you can purchase this exclusively at Tescos for £1.99.

OOTD #1 | Getting back into the swing of things.

I thought i would get back into blogging with an easy OOTD post.

Top - Primark
Shirt - H&M
Tights - Forever 21

The top seen in the image is a Black Sabbath Band T-Shirt from Primark. I absolutely love band tee's at the moment.

Seeing as you guys haven't seen me for ages, i will mention that i have had my hair highlighted blonde by my bestie Sam from WhenFlowersFall, however, the next time you see me i will most likely have it back brown. I do love having blonde hair it is just too hard to keep up and i would like my natural colour back at some point in my life before i go grey. :)

Hello. I'm back

So if you all haven't noticed I have been away for a long time. I won't give you a huge essay with 100 reasons why. Lets just say life got in the way.

I'm excited to be back and have a lot of posts in the pipelines :)

I won't promise you a million of things , simply because we all know I won't get around to them.

Here is a little update of what's happened since I last blogged.

*I got a job. I am now a care assistant and I love every second of it.
*I moved house. We moved out if the other one as the stairs in and out we're far too dangerous, it was just too cold and too expensive.
*I had a very lovely Christmas.
*My panic attacks are back with. Vengeance. As always I have no idea why I'm having them half of the time and my doctor is useless.
*Amy has definitely hit the terrible twos stage. Everything is NO and MOVE. Also she babbles which I did quite hilarious. It's something that babies tend to do before they start saying real words. I've know Idea why she does this as she can talk but its cute to listen to.
*My wisdom teeth are coming through and hurt like a bitch.
*Updated the background and layout. I think that the font on the last one was difficult to read so made it a little simple but still pretty.

Avon Super Curlacious Mascara Review

This months edition of Marie Claire (August 2012) comes with a free gift of Avon's mascara. There are 2 to chose from, i went for the Super Curlacious Mascara in Black.
As i don't have a favourite mascara yet and i am always trying out new ones i thought id give this ago.
The magazine retails for £3.70 and the Mascara retails for £8.50 from here.
New%20folder-11

Avon say this is a "Fast-drying, lightweight mascara gives lashes a full, seductive curve for up to 12 hours without stiffness, smudging, flaking or clumps*. Our curved, moulded brush grabs and curls each lash. "
New%20folder-1

             L-R Natural - 1 Coat - 2 Coats

I agree. I have used this for a week, and i haven't had any flaking or clumping. It makes my eyelashes look really long with out the heavy fake feeling. They look much longer, thicker and curlier. I didn't uses an eyelash curler with this as i wanted to show you the true effect of the product. The product is really easy to remove with soap, face wash, make up remover what every your choice may be and some warm water, but doesn't smudge with sweat.
It does have a slight smell to it, however it is not scented i think its just its 'natural' smell. It doesn't smell of chemicals (like the MAC opulash)
The packaging is simple and black with pink writing down the side. It feels very sturdy. The brush is quite dense, which i like with a curve which gives the curl to the lashes. The formula of the mascara is very nice and is extremely pigmented.

NOTD - Turquoise Crackle

Bare with me guys, I'm trying something new so I can quickly upload these kinds of posts. If it doesn't work well, I'll stop.

If I haven't mentioned it before, in a self confessed nail varnish junkie.
My current favourite is a white nail crackle/quake/smash with ANY colour underneath.
Today I have the misguided varnish in
'misstique' and the Collection (2000) nail smash in '2 white smash'.

MUA Undressed Palette.

_DSC0021

There is absolutely nothing i can say about this amazing palette that no other blogger has said.
Its amazing. It is a complete dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and a fraction of the price.
I'm not sure if MUA did this intentionally as the order of the shadows are in the same way, and even the name is similar. You can purchase this palette from Here or any superdrug store that stocks the MUA pro line for £4.

However, this is the perfect palette to have in your collection. I'm not very brave when it comes to putting bright colours on my eyes, other than Purple. If i do I'm feeling confident that day, so tend to stick to the neutral tones.

You get 12 shades with a mixture of shimmer, pearl and matte finish. They are all amazingly pigmented, apart from the 2 matte brown shades. I have the immaculate collection and Heaven and Earth palette and the matte colours from their aren't the most pigmented. If you buy the singles from MUA on the other hand those matte ones are very pigmented.
_DSC0029

_DSC0030

_DSC0031
I have been know to use shade 1 as a highlight on my cheeks and shade 11 as an eyeliner applied with and angled eyeliner brush.

What i really also like about this palette, and others from MUA is that they have a simple tutorial on the back of the packaging. This helps you to create a nice look if you are a beginner.

As always the eye shadows are soft and creamy and apply like a dream. I have oily eyelids and with out a primer (i have recently run out) they do stay on for hours. With a primer, if I'm feeling very lazy, my eyeshadow will still be there the next morning looking just as good.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

packet
I recently received a sample of the Maybelline BB Cream thanks to Scotcampus.
I am a huge fan of the Garnier BB Cream and have previously blogged about it HERE, so i was a bit nervous about trying this one, which is why i opted to receive a sample rather than spending £7.99 from Boots.
However after trying this out a few days ago i genuinely like it. I would even go as far as saying i prefer it to the Garnier one.
I feel that it has more of a pink tone to it, while the Garnier one has a more of a yellowish tone. (i apologise if i keep comparing the two).

blended
The Maybelline BB Cream is very light and gives a light coverage, very similar to a tinted moisturiser. It also has a SPF 30 which is perfect to use in the summer of if you are going away as it is light you wont feel cakey in the hot weather.

There are 4 Shades to choose from - Light, Universal Glow, Medium and Dark. Personally i think there is a colour that will blend into and suit all skin tones.

When applied to the skin it blends in really well and gives me a dewy finish. It almost hides the dark eye circles and definitely covers up my freckles. The consistency is quite thin, similar to a moisturising cream which is really good as it doesn't sit on your face and feel thick.

I really do like this product and as I'm going away in September i may have to buy the full size version for during the day.
