What a mouthful.
This is my first purchase of a lip tint/stain. I have been wanting to try them for ages and finally decided on this one from Rimmel in the shade 700 Nothing But Nice.
The applicator is similar to a felt tip pen and the product has a faint scent, i cant quite put my finger on what exactly it smells like but it is quite sweet. Once it is applied you can no longer smell it, however it does have a sweet taste. Please tell me if you can taste it too, or am i just being weird.
I find that if my lips are dry the applicator can feel a little scratchy, but nothing too painful and there is a lot of pigmentation.
Unfortunately in this range, i believe there are only 4 colours to choose from. I went for a "my lips but better' shade as i didn't want to get a really out there colour and find myself hating the product complete.
The packaging is pretty, the colour of the stain is similar to the packaging colour which i find quite handy. The product also comes with a lip balm to help keep your lips looking moisturised and smooth through the day. This is just a simple clear lip balm and can be substituted with any other lip balm of your choice, you could even apply a gloss.
Rimmel promises a 12 hour staying power, however i don't think it gives you that. The most i think you would get would be around 5/6 hours and that's if you didn't drink a thing. I find my self applying it after a few hours so i get the full colour.
This product retails for £6.99 from Boots. I think the price is quite reasonable compared to other lip tints/stains out there.
The first week i used this product i was in love with it. However, now? Not so much. The product has dried up a little and now i hardly get any pigmentation from it. This is very disappointing as i have only had it a week and it was in a sealed packet when i purchased it.
Sadly, this wont be on my list of repurchases.
